The Globe & Rainbow in Kilndown near Cranbrook is a traditional country pub with a difference. Our restaurant is fast developing a reputation for delivering high quality, locally sourced and beautifully presented food, all served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Nestled in the border county between Kent and East Sussex, we’re a true gem of the region. We (Rachel Leadbitter and Neil Scott) are both passionate about our beautifully situated hostelry; it offers year round interest. In the summer, what about a long cool drink on the terrace in the centre of the English countryside? In the Winter, a warming meal in the cosy restaurant to keep out the chill. The Globe and Rainbow is such a great place to visit as it offers so much: great food, fine wines, traditional beers and ales, country walks, local tourist attractions and great nights out in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
There’s no need to wait for a family occasion before you come and visit us, as we know how to keep you entertained whatever the date! We are always coming up with innovative ideas. In the past, these have included the comedy night season, film nights, charity balloon launch, May day celebrations, Guy Fawkes firework celebrations and even the occasional hog roast! It’s well worth keeping an eye out for our next big event.
One thing you won’t find at the Globe and Rainbow is a rush. You will be looked after with quiet efficiency and that’s why you may well find yourself seated across the room from one of the many local celebrities who have been spied sipping a glass of something delicious.
